Final Kearns Mask Giveaway Event

-This is the 6th event where the Kearns community can drive thru and get a special mask to help in their fight against the COVID-19 virus, while supporting the guidelines issued by the CDC, Salt Lake County Health Dept. and the Utah State Governor’s Office.

The mask giveaway began in August of 2020 with the goal of providing a mask to every person and business’s in the Kearns community. To date the councils have given out approx. 35,000 plus masks (prior to this event). With each giveaway they are able to enhance the event by also providing a Kearns Care bag to each family which contains antibacterial wipes, thermometers, and hand soap.

With the CARES ACT funding that came to Kearns the councils were able to pay for the cost of all this along with food vouchers that were previously given out to our local food pantries and our senior center. The councils were determined to put this funding back into the Kearns community.
